Boat taxi in the Stockholm archipelago
The Stockholm archipelago has some 30,000 islands and a public boat network built for commuters rather than visitors. Waxholmsbolaget and Cinderella run this crossing several times a day in summer, but the last departure is early and the winter timetable thins out to a handful of sailings. If you land at Arlanda in the evening, arrive after the last boat or want to leave Sandhamn at midnight, a boat taxi is usually the only option.

What does a boat taxi cost?
Traditional boat taxi companies in the Stockholm archipelago charge an hourly rate for the boat plus a call-out fee from their own home harbour, which can easily double the price if they are based far from you. On Wyber every skipper bids their own price for your specific crossing, and because the boats are already out in the archipelago most of that call-out disappears.
