Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-08-18

Wyber is a marketplace that connects travellers in the Stockholm archipelago with private boat owners (skippers). Wyber does not operate any boats itself. By using the service you accept these terms.

1. What Wyber is

Wyber introduces riders to skippers. The transport agreement is between the rider and the skipper. Wyber is not a carrier, shipowner or employer of the skipper.

The skipper is responsible for their boat, their competence, their insurance and for complying with Swedish maritime law and Transportstyrelsen rules.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your details, especially your phone number, since riders and skippers contact each other directly.

Wyber may suspend accounts that misuse the service, provide false information or behave inappropriately.

3. Booking, price and fees

A rider posts a request and skippers bid in Swedish kronor. The accepted bid is the price for the trip.

Wyber charges a 10% service fee on each side: the rider pays the agreed bid plus 10%, and the skipper receives the bid minus 10%.

A trip starts when the rider shows a 4-digit code that the skipper enters in the app. Payment is recorded when the skipper marks the trip complete.

4. Cancellation

Riders can cancel an accepted trip free of charge up to six hours before departure.

Cancelling between six hours and one hour before departure incurs a fee of 20% of the accepted price, minimum 100 kr. The fee is paid to the skipper less Wyber's service fee.

Within one hour of departure the trip cannot be cancelled in the app — contact the skipper directly.

If the forecast for the pickup point shows gusts of 18 m/s or more at departure time, either party may cancel free of charge at any point.

If the rider does not appear at the pickup point within 20 minutes of the agreed time, the skipper may report a no-show and the same fee as a late cancellation applies.

If a skipper cannot carry out a trip they must tell the rider immediately. No fee is charged for a trip that did not happen.

5. Disputes and refunds

Disputes about a completed trip must be raised within 48 hours of completion. The payout to the skipper is held during that window.

Where a dispute is upheld, all or part of the amount is refunded to the rider.

6. Safety on board

The skipper is responsible for life jackets for everyone on board, for assessing weather and sea state, and for postponing or aborting any trip that cannot be made safely.

Riders must follow the skipper's instructions on board.

7. Limitation of liability

Wyber is not liable for damage, loss or delay arising in connection with a trip. Wyber's liability is in any event limited to the service fee charged for that trip.

8. Reviews

Reviews must be truthful and relevant. Wyber may remove reviews containing abuse, third-party personal data or clearly false claims.

9. Changes and governing law

Wyber may update these terms. Material changes are announced in the app. Swedish law applies and disputes are heard by Swedish courts.
