Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-08-18

Wyber processes personal data in order to arrange boat trips in the Stockholm archipelago. This page explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have under the GDPR.

Data we collect

Account data: name, email address, phone number and profile photo.

Skipper data: boat name, boat type, capacity, home harbour and radius.

Trip data: pickup and drop-off coordinates, time, passengers, luggage, pets, children and notes.

Bids, trips, payment records and reviews.

Technical data: device and usage data through Google Analytics.

Why we process it

To perform our agreement with you: create your account, match riders and skippers, run trips, payments and reviews.

Legitimate interest: safety, abuse prevention and improving the service.

Legal obligation: accounting records for completed transactions.

Who sees what

Skippers see an open request's locations and needs, plus the rider's name, photo and rating — not their email or phone number.

Phone numbers are shared only once a bid is accepted, and then in both directions so you can call each other.

Sharing

We use processors for hosting, email, maps and analytics. We never sell personal data.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Trip and payment records are kept for as long as Swedish accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can export, correct or delete your data directly in the app under Profile → Your account and data. You may also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
